Goodie bag/number pick-ups will be from 6:30-7:45AM on race day. All participants will be skin-marked with their number on their shoulder and leg. All triathletes will be given a bike number, which must be placed on your bike frame. Race numbers must be attached to the participant’s shirts for the run. This will be mandatory for all participants in the Adult / Kids Races and there will be no exceptions to these rules.

Headphones
Headphones are not allowed during the race per USAT rules. This is not a closed course and you need to be aware of your surroundings.

Wetsuits
Wetsuits are not permitted or necessary. The pool is regularly 83-85 degrees.

Transition Area
The transition area will be on the grounds of the Vocation School outside the pool area.  The ONLY people allowed in the transition area will be athletes with numbers written on their bodies. Anyone who needs a non-athlete to work on their bike must take their bike out of the Transition Area. The Transition Area will be closed at 7:45AM. No exceptions. Each participant will get a race number which will designate their space in the trans ition area. Please be courteous to others as there is limited space. Once the race starts there will be a strictly enforced entrance and an exit. This is for the safety of all participants. You will NOT be allowed to mount your bicycle til you are safely out of the transition area.

Volunteers
We have worked hard to plan and stage volunteers at strategic places on the course. All will have phone numbers for emergency personnel. If you know of anyone who would be interested in volunteering, please let us know.

Swim
The adult swim is a 250 yard swim (10 lengths of our 25 yard pool), the kids race is 50 yd (2 length of our 25 yard pool) .

Snake Swim Rules
All participants must enter water feet first. If you enter the pool any other way you may receive a time penalty. Each participant will get a 15 second head start on the person behind them. The first person will start at 8:00AM. Please be ready to enter the water and start quickly when you get to the edge of the pool. Flip turns are NOT allowed as the pool will be crowded. To switch lanes, participants must duck under the lane lines in the deep end of the pool (See swim diagram.) After completion of the first length of the pool, participants will complete two lengths of the pool in each of the next four lanes. Participants will swim close to the lane lines and leave the middle of the lane open in case someone needs to pass. When passing other swimmers parti cipants must lift their head forward to make sure he/she has enough room to pass safely. It is the PASSER’S responsibility to make sure there is enough space to pass. If you try to pass you must do so in the middle of the pool and not by a wall. Touching or grabbing the person in front of you is not permitted.  Participants will complete their last length of the pool in the sixth swimming lane. Swimmers will get out of the water to proceed to the bike leg.
